Junior Golf Fitness: Ages 11-14

Event Image
This fitness class is designed specifically for junior golfers ages 11 to 14, focusing on balanced athletic development at ages that often coincide with a major physical growth spurt. As young athletes experience rapid changes in height, limb length, and body composition, it's essential to support their evolving bodies with training that maintains mobility, sharpens coordination, and builds strength in a safe, age-appropriate way. The goal is to help golfers prepare for and later adapt to changes in their bodies while supporting long-term athletic and golf performance. This class bridges the gap between physical training and golf performance, helping junior athletes stay mobile, strong, and confident as they grow. The class consists of one in-person group training session per week (Mondays at 4:30 - 5:30 pm at Edge Golf Performance), supported by at-home activities delivered via the TPI mobile app with instructional videos. A 1:5 coach-to-student ratio ensures each athlete receives focused, individualized coaching while maximizing safety and the effective use of space and equipment. The Early Fall 2025 semester class runs from September 8 to October 27. There are breaks with no class on September 15 and October 13. Each session includes a blend of mobility work, movement skill development, and progressive strength training to: - Maintain mobility and joint control through dynamic and static stretching to counteract tightness from growth - Reinforce and refine coordination, balance, and movement control as athletes adjust to new body dimensions and reestablish efficient movement patterns - Build foundational strength with bodyweight and resistance training to support posture, stability, and injury prevention - Educate athletes about body awareness, recovery, and training habits that support both performance and health
